95% of the aluminum die-casting molds brought to our company are for the repair of damaged areas, while the remaining 5% are for regeneration of those areas due to processing errors or design changes. Welding aimed at restoring shape primarily considers obtaining mechanical properties similar to the base material, and the selection of welding materials is made accordingly. This document includes the basic elements of mold welding, as well as examples of oil pans, plate seals, and welded structural molds. To achieve a stable mold lifespan, there is no alternative but to perform welding according to the fundamentals.
